Getaway- Youth Camp

Who ever said, "Time flies when your having fun" was not kidding!  Where did June go?  I blinked, and it was like a whole month was gone.  We have been having fun though.  Last week at the beach was a blast.  My favorite part was catching crabs with Brody.  We tied chicken necks to a string, and then we slowly pulled the crab in to catch with a net.  We laughed and cheered each other on the whole time.  We also went to see Monsters University at the movie theater...such a cute movie.  One of Brody's favorite parts was seeing a man catch a small hammerhead shark on the pier.  It was one of those once in a lifetime kind of moments.  The ocean was great.  We jumped waves, body surfed, boogie boarded, and found some cool shells. We are looking forward to more beach time later on this year. 

The garden is wonderful. We have been canning and freezing.  Yesterday Brody and I picked 4 pounds of blueberries.  Today Ryan will make some jelly with it.  Picture below is Brody pulling up potatoes.
